Today, Burgerdudes released The World’s 25 Best Burgers 2026, the latest annual edition of its internationally recognized ranking of the best burgers across the globe. The entire list is available at theworldsbestburgers.com, with images and motivations.

Following a year of extensive travel and in-depth reviews, Burgerdudes have once again identified the world’s top burger destinations. This year marks a historic achievement as Hundred Burgers, based in Madrid and Valencia, claim the number one position for the third consecutive year.

“Hundred Burgers’ craftsmanship and approach is unmatched, from the phenomenal Rubia Gallega beef they age themselves to their artisan Japanese milk bun. Simply put, they are the best in the world”, says Toby Lee, Editor-in-Chief at Burgerdudes.

Brazil’s Holy Burger in São Paulo climbs to second place, while Au Cheval, with locations in Chicago and New York, secures third place and continues to represent the pinnacle of burger excellence in the United States. On the smash burger front, Sweden’s Funky Chicken Food Truck in Stockholm is now ranked as the world’s best smash burger.

This year’s list introduces several standout newcomers from around the world, including MeatCastles, Black Cactus & Dove, (England), Will’s & Goldieboy (Australia), BDP Burger (Spain) and Gui’s Burger (Japan). These additions reflect the diversity and evolution of the global burger scene, from innovative food trucks to refined restaurant concepts.

The World’s Best Burgers is curated by Burgerdudes.com, widely recognized as “The Michelin Guide for Burgers”*. Since 2014, Burgerdudes have visited more than 1,000 restaurants across 65 countries, publishing up to five new reviews each week. Black Bear Burger is one of the veterans of the modern burger wave in England, and we have tried their burgers several times since our first review in 2017. Over the years, Black Bear Burger has received more and more attention and hype, both domestically and internationally, and today they are one of the most well-known burger restaurants in all of England. They have locations at nearly 10 places around London, and we visited their restaurant inside the Market Halls Victoria food hall and ordered their Double Miso Bacon Burger – the same burger that won them the National Burger of the Year 2025 award. The burger contained double patties, double cheese, smoked bacon and their miso butter mayo, and it cost 15.8 GBP (21 USD).

The burger looked exactly as we remembered it, with pre-formed patties and a pale bun covered in a generous layer of sesame seeds. The bun was soft and fluffy, but just like on our previous visits, we felt that the crust-like amount of sesame seeds took over both in terms of flavour and texture. The meat was of high quality as always and had a nice and potent dry-aged character that they are known for. The meat could have been juicier though, as it felt a bit too compact this time. The bacon was super tasty and crispy, just the way we like it, and the onion also contributed a nice texture. Their miso butter mayo was very flavourful with its buttery, salty, and umami-rich taste, but together with the bacon and the beef, the overall flavour profile was a bit too salty. We would have liked to see some kind of freshness to break up the saltiness for a more complete experience.

We are very happy that a veteran like Black Bear Burger continues to deliver high-quality burgers year after year, and they are still a safe bet when you are craving a really good burger in London.
