In English

Troys Burger have two restaurants in Oslo and cook their burgers in a charcoal oven. Their menu was short and concise, and we ordered two different burgers. One was their house burger Troy with cheddar, lettuce, onions, pickles, jalapeños, dressing and ketchup and the other was the BBQ burger with Jarlsberg cheese, coleslaw, an onion pickle and BBQ sauce. Both burgers cost 164 NOK (15 USD) each, and we upgraded them to menus with fries and a soft drink for a total of 205 NOK (19 USD) each.

Our burgers were served quickly on our table and had a charming old school look. Our first impression of the bun was that it felt quite large – especially the heel – and too dry. But at least it had been grilled quite well on the inside, which created a barrier for all the sauces. The 150-gram patty had a nostalgic grilled flavour that we appreciated, but despite this we still would have liked more distinct flavour from the meat and, in particular, the texture to be less compact and chewy. We were pleasantly surprised by the heat from the BBQ burger, which came mainly from the flavour packed coleslaw. The BBQ sauce was spicy and a little hot too, but was far too sweet. The signature burger was unfortunately really dull, with only their jalapeños standing out. The fries were well-fried and crispy, and the upgrade to mixed fries was a good choice as their sweet potato fries were really nice and flavourful.

Troys Burger serve pretty dated burgers at a reasonable price-point (for Oslo, at least). But there are many options that are better if you’re in the mood for a decent craft burger in Norway’s capital.

🍔 Review № 1350

🇦🇪 @she_burger ★★★★☆

She Burger is a restaurant chain with several locations in Dubai and around the Middle East, and they participated in the Dubai Burger Championship 2026. The burger they served at the festival was the same name as the restaurant, She Burger, and it consisted of two smashed beef patties, roasted onions, veal bacon jam with a lot of coffee, and their signature sauce for 60 AED (16.5 USD).

We immediately felt that the burger had a very international appearance when we saw it, and it offered a well-shaped brioche bun, plenty of toppings, double meat patties. The bun was soft and had a good size, but the heel would have been able to handle the beef juices better if they’d let the patties rest before assembly. The Black Angus meat had a strong meat flavour with a robust seasoning, but we felt that the crust should have been more pronounced and that the meat could have been even juicier. The fried onion was texturally brilliant, and it added both flavour and a lovely crunch that the burger really needed. The veal bacon jam was incredibly good and had a much more mature taste than we are normally used to. It was very coffee heavy, which we really appreciated. On the other hand, the signature sauce was completely anonymous and didn’t make any real impression.

She Burger do a lot right with this burger, but they need to refine the details and the meat to really make it a winner. But that being said, they offer one of the better burgers in Dubai.
