Pommes frites ingick i priset.

In English

Goodnight Nashville is one of the latest additions to Nashville’s Broadway – the main street lined with honky-tonks (a type of Southern country bar) and tourist shops that is as loud and lively on a Tuesday afternoon as it is on a Saturday night. It’s not uncommon for celebrities to run these bars, and the artist Jelly Roll is behind Goodnight Nashville. The venue boasts incredibly high ceilings, a giant spinning skull, a tattoo artist, a merch shop and a large and varied music stage. On their menu, we found the viral NADC burger (review coming soon) and two of their own burgers. We ordered both: the Losers Burger, a classic cheeseburger with double wagyu smash patties, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion for 19 USD, and the Hangover Burger with double wagyu smash patties, American cheese, apple-smoked bacon and a fried egg for 22 USD. French fries were included in the price.

Although both burgers lacked sauce, they were still very creamy and juicy thanks to a combination of tender meat and plenty of well-melted cheese. The patties were well-seasoned and very juicy, and the Hangover burger offered even more creaminess from the sunny-side-up egg, which impressed us by not overpowering the other flavours. The crispy and smoky bacon worked excellently in the burger. The cheeseburger had fresh and crispy vegetables, and although it looked a little heavy on the lettuce at first, the proportions were perfectly fine. The only real problem was the brioche bun, which was a little too big for the burgers, causing the taste and texture to take over slightly. The fries were seasoned with a slightly hot seasoning, which went perfectly with the dill ranch dip we added for 1.50 USD.

We really liked Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville, and we definitely recommend a visit if you want to eat a nice burger while hopping between honky tonks. And we can already reveal that the NADC burger is something extra special.

🍔 Review № 1381

Black Bear Burger is one of the veterans of the modern burger wave in England, and we have tried their burgers several times since our first review in 2017. Over the years, Black Bear Burger has received more and more attention and hype, both domestically and internationally, and today they are one of the most well-known burger restaurants in all of England. They have locations at nearly 10 places around London, and we visited their restaurant inside the Market Halls Victoria food hall and ordered their Double Miso Bacon Burger – the same burger that won them the National Burger of the Year 2025 award. The burger contained double patties, double cheese, smoked bacon and their miso butter mayo, and it cost 15.8 GBP (21 USD).

The burger looked exactly as we remembered it, with pre-formed patties and a pale bun covered in a generous layer of sesame seeds. The bun was soft and fluffy, but just like on our previous visits, we felt that the crust-like amount of sesame seeds took over both in terms of flavour and texture. The meat was of high quality as always and had a nice and potent dry-aged character that they are known for. The meat could have been juicier though, as it felt a bit too compact this time. The bacon was super tasty and crispy, just the way we like it, and the onion also contributed a nice texture. Their miso butter mayo was very flavourful with its buttery, salty, and umami-rich taste, but together with the bacon and the beef, the overall flavour profile was a bit too salty. We would have liked to see some kind of freshness to break up the saltiness for a more complete experience.

We are very happy that a veteran like Black Bear Burger continues to deliver high-quality burgers year after year, and they are still a safe bet when you are craving a really good burger in London.
