🇦🇪 @she_burger ★★★★☆
She Burger is a restaurant chain with several locations in Dubai and around the Middle East, and they participated in the Dubai Burger Championship 2026. The burger they served at the festival was the same name as the restaurant, She Burger, and it consisted of two smashed beef patties, roasted onions, veal bacon jam with a lot of coffee, and their signature sauce for 60 AED (16.5 USD).
We immediately felt that the burger had a very international appearance when we saw it, and it offered a well-shaped brioche bun, plenty of toppings, double meat patties. The bun was soft and had a good size, but the heel would have been able to handle the beef juices better if they’d let the patties rest before assembly. The Black Angus meat had a strong meat flavour with a robust seasoning, but we felt that the crust should have been more pronounced and that the meat could have been even juicier. The fried onion was texturally brilliant, and it added both flavour and a lovely crunch that the burger really needed. The veal bacon jam was incredibly good and had a much more mature taste than we are normally used to. It was very coffee heavy, which we really appreciated. On the other hand, the signature sauce was completely anonymous and didn’t make any real impression.
She Burger do a lot right with this burger, but they need to refine the details and the meat to really make it a winner. But that being said, they offer one of the better burgers in Dubai.

🇯🇵 @henrysburger_japan ★★★★☆
Henry’s Burger is a small chain in Tokyo with restaurants in Harajuku, Daikanyama and Jiyugaoka. We’ve been fans of their burgers in the Japanese capital since our first visit in 2017, and have been to their Daikanyama restaurant several times since then. Not much had changed since our last visit in 2022 when we returned this time, and the reassuringly unchanged menu was largely the same, except for the addition of a new pork burger. We ordered a Double Wagyu Beef Burger with two smashed wagyu beef patties, cheese, lettuce and house sauce, along with french fries and a soft drink for 2510 JPY (16 USD).
The burger looked exactly as we remembered it, with a well-balanced ratio between the nicely smashed beef patties and the house baked, golden-brown bun The bun was squishy and fit great in our hand, holding everything together perfectly. As expected, their self-ground wagyu beef was very juicy with a nice sear that gave way to a wonderfully airy inside that we really enjoyed. The buttery beef flavour was great, although we would have liked a bit more salt to elevate the flavour profile. We also felt that the house sauce added a lot of character to the burger, with a nice flavour profile that felt like it was from the West Coast of the US. The lettuce was fresh, but unfortunately the tomato was cold and a bit too thickly sliced for our taste. And the airy bun and the tender beef made the entire burger was quite soft. Something with a bit more crunchy texture would have really elevated the burger, such as dill pickles or onions. The fries were really tasty and were both salted and cooked to perfection.
Henry’s Burger still serve Tokyo’s best burger. We appreciate that the inspiration comes from the West Coast of the US, rather than the domestic burger scene, and that they stick to their vision of serving simple but high-quality burgers.

🍔 @hundredburgers_
🇪🇸 Valencia & Madrid, Spain
The Winner Takes It All! Hundred Burgers serve the world’s best burgers, winning the award for the third year in a row! The Spanish power house opened in Valencia back in 2020, founded by the two burger enthusiasts Álex and Eze. Since then, they’ve expanded to Madrid and have continued to refine their concept, both at their restaurants across Spain and through appearances at burger events internationally. Their work has earned them repeated recognition, and we have been enamoured with their burgers since our first visit back in 2023. And the best part is that they just keep getting better and better.
Three of our favourite burgers include Loser, Satisfaction and the limited Paul Finch. The burgers are built around Rubia Gallega beef that they dry-age themselves, paired with carefully selected ingredients. We’re talking 60-day dry-aged burgers with thick patties cooked to a Spanish medium-rare, showcasing the quality of the beef to an almost extreme degree. The burgers arrive with a glistening Japanese milk bun that they bake themselves, which works great with the intense beef. The Loser is one of their standout signature burgers, featuring a thicker patty, and the combination of gochujang sauce and caramelised onions is balanced by the savoury bun. Satisfaction offers a more pronounced crust, complemented by smoked mayonnaise and crispy bacon. And the Paul Finch stands out as a more intense option, made with a mind-boggling 120-day dry-aged ribeye and produced in limited quantities, making it suited for sharing or even during a return visit. All of their burgers are substantial, surprisingly decently priced and let the beef quality shine.
Hundred Burgers’ strong emphasis on craftsmanship and willingness to evolve makes them a reference point for burgers for all other burger restaurants to strive towards. If you love burgers you owe it to yourself to visit them!

🍔 @holyburgersp
🇧🇷 São Paulo, Brazil
Holy Burger has been our favourite burger restaurant in Brazil since our first visit a few years ago, and they’ve continued to impress us over the years. The venue has a cool, cozy atmosphere reminiscent of an old New York jazz club, and their Pony Line burger with dry-aged beef and sugar cane molasses with bacon stands out on the menu. It’s one of those burgers that offers an almost life-changing meal, and comes served in a bowl so that you can mop up everything. The deep bacon molasses enhances the deep dry-aged beef flavours, while the fluffy bun holds everything in place. The medium-cooked beef elevates each and every flavour, bringing it all together for a sensational burger experience.
Holy Burger currently serves the best burger in all of South America (and North America too, for that matter), and they have proven once again that they truly belong among the absolute elite of the burger world. Next time you’re in São Paulo, don’t miss this almost religious burger experience.

🍔 @auchevaldiner
🇺🇸 Chicago & New York, USA
Au Cheval serve the best burger in the United States of America. Chicago’s leading burger joint is just as good in New York, and we are totally enamoured with their classic Double Cheeseburger.
This is a distinctly beef-forward burger, supported by creamy cheddar, balanced dijonnaise and crisp pickles. The patties have an extremely intense beef flavour and a super tender texture with excellent seasoning that will keep you eating until the entire burger is finished. Despite the name, we usually opt to skip the ”au cheval” egg and order some (almost distractingly) thick and expensive bacon, which adds rich, salty note that complements the rest of the ingredients perfectly. It really adds a buttery saltiness that ties everything together. We love everything about Au Cheval, from the luxurious setting and excellent service to the comforting high quality that hits the spot every time. Book a table and be prepared for a lively, loud setting.

🍔 @funkychickenfoodtruck
🇸🇪 Stockholm, Sweden
Funky Chicken Food Truck make the world’s best smash burger. Located in the outskirts of Stockholm, they never miss. This food truck has become a tourist destination in itself, attracting locals and tourists alike during lunch hours (and weekends when the sun starts to shine). Over the years, they have become a go-to burger destination in Scandinavia. Their lineup of around ten burgers rotates weekly, so keeping an eye on their socials helps when planning a visit.
Their signature patties deliver a juicy, beef-forward flavour with a noticeable amount of black pepper, which is almost deep-fried into the beef to create the best crust we’ve encountered in a burger. It is a style we call ”Stockholm Smash”, and it has influenced much of the scene across the country. The airy brioche bun manages to hold together despite the generous fillings, and we are blown away each and every time we try them. Go there and dare to stand in line, because this is something unique.

🍔 @burgerandbeyond
🏴 London & Manchester, England
Burger & Beyond in London has been a firm favourite of ours since we first tried them at Camden Market in 2016. We have followed their development through street food pop-ups and festivals, as they have grown into multiple central London locations and even expanded to Manchester. Their menu features a wide range of burgers, along with many excellent sides (the ”beyond” part of their name).
Their burgers are beautiful, with a golden sesame-topped brioche bun and great ratios. And the beef patties have a distinct crust with a slightly pink interior, giving way to juicy flavours and a pronounced dry-aged beefiness. The Burnt Butter Burger is a bona-fide classic, with a delectable burnt butter mayo, crisp bacon and a freshness from the pickled onions. The Bougie Burger is our other favourite and offers a completely different flavour profile with a super deep marrownaise and umami-heavy gravy that adds extra depth without overwhelming the core flavours. Burger & Beyond delivers one of the more complete burger experiences in England, and we still find it hard to walk past one of their locations without stopping in.
