🇦🇪 @elevengreen.uae ★★★★☆
Eleven Green have four locations in Dubai, and have won several awards for their burgers. We visited their restaurant in Meyan Mall, with an inviting dark interior. The menu consisted of several different burgers with wagyu beef that could be ordered with a single 160-gram patty or double 80-gram beef patties, and we ordered a simple AA Cheeseburger with double American cheese, chopped onions, pickles and 11G burger sauce for 57 AED (15.5 USD), an El Reno with double onion mashed patties, American Cheese, jalapeños and 11G burger sauce for 59 AED (16 USD) and a simple Bull Burger with cheddar, beef bacon jam, onions and Bull burger sauce for 61 AED (16.5 USD).
The Bull Burger was definitely our favourite of the three. It had an incredibly fluffy Hokkaido Milk Bun with a lot of texture and a great taste that we would have loved to see on all our burgers. The wagyu beef was flavourful and juicy, and we appreciated that the bacon jam was not very sweet, and instead enhanced the beefiness. The sweetness was instead found in the Bull burger sauce, which rounded out the flavour profile. The AA Cheese offered classic flavours, but we thought that the sesame bun was a bit flat and squashed and that it would have been even better with mustard and ketchup instead of the burger sauce. The onion mashed El Reno offered a nice crust, but here we would have appreciated even crispier onions and a few more flavours that took up more space. Our Angry Fries were covered in a hot pommes fry seasoning that brought the fries to life, and we also liked the fresh dip sauce that came with it. They were well worth their 25 AED (7 USD).
Eleven Green serve really good burgers, and it is mainly small details that we would have liked to have fine-tuned. For example, all the burgers would have benefited from a bread with the same high quality as their milk bun, but overall we definitely recommend a visit next time you are in Dubai.

🇯🇵 @meetyourwagyu ★★★★★
Gui’s Burger by @humansofwagyu is located in Ashiya, between the two Japanese cities of Kobe and Osaka. This restaurant specialises exclusively in Wagyu beef, and this is very much reflected in the stylishly decorated interior with an open kitchen. The focus is not only on the taste and texture of the meat, as each burger on the menu also contains Wagyu beef from a specific farm that has approved its burger. The menu is extremely focused with three standard burgers and one monthly burger. We ordered a Kirishima Wagyu Bacon Cheeseburger with 150 grams of Wagyu beef, Wagyu bacon and house sauce. It was served with fries and cost 2450 JPY (15.5 USD).
Our burger arrived on a sturdy porcelain plate and the deeply marbled beef really made it shine. The bun was ultra-fluffy, but still gave the burger character and held everything together in a satisfying way. The medium-rare-cooked Wagyu was simply phenomenal, with an intense beefiness and a mouth-meltingly high fat content. The fact that it was also salted and peppered generously made us extremely happy, and the flavours were super intense from the first bite. This was enhanced further by their own-dried and -smoked Wagyu bacon, which added another level of saltiness and a light smokiness that reminded us of the best pastrami you can imagine. The flavour profile was completed by their mayonnaise, which, among other things, contained Wagyu fat to give the taste buds a final hit of meat and umami. We even ordered extra Wagyu bacon as a decadent dessert to complete our meal.
We were extremely impressed by the incredibly high quality and passion for meat we encountered here. Gui’s Burger doesn’t just serve Japan’s best burger – this is one of the best burgers we have ever eaten during our many travels.

🇦🇪 @11woodfire ★★★★☆
11 Woodfire is a one-Michelin-star restaurant in Dubai that has recently gained a lot of attention for its burgers. The menu is filled with several exclusive meat and fish dishes cooked over an open fire, but we of course ordered two of their Wagyu Burgers with double beef patties, gouda cheese, mushroom duxelles and sriracha mayo for 95 AED (26 USD). On one of the burgers we also added their veal bacon jam for an extra 30 AED (8 USD), and we also ordered a portion of Broken Potatoes with buttermilk dressing and chimichurri for 65 AED (17.5 USD).
The burgers were served halved on a nice porcelain plate and looked like they had been carefully composed. The bun was fluffy and managed to hold everything together perfectly despite being cut in half. The two wagyu beef patties had a nice but rather thin crust and were very juicy with a tender texture, thanks to the high fat content. We would have liked the meat to stand out more, as the mushroom duxelles was a bit overpowering with its buttery umami notes. Not even the sriracha mayo managed to break through, and the flavor profile became a bit monotonous towards the end. The burger with veal bacon jam was much more interesting and added sweetness and saltiness, making it much more interesting. However, we would have preferred a bit more texture in both burgers, as they were quite light and soft. Their Broken Potatoes, on the other hand, was a hit, with its buttery saltiness and loads of fresh herbs.
11 Woodfire offer a nice and atmospheric burger experience with great service. All the food served was of very high quality, and if you are in the mood for a premium burger at this exclusive Michelin restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.
