In English

We have liked Andy’s Burgers since our first visit to them in 2023, and the quality has always been high while the pricing is extremely reasonable. With their upcoming expansion to Malmö, it was time to pay another visit to Eslöv. We ordered their Original Cheese as a menu with both a soft drink and dip, which cost 115 SEK (12 USD) during lunch. Our burger had two 100-gram beef patties, cheese, white onions, dill pickles, ketchup and mustard. We still think their pricing is brilliant, with a single and a double burger costing the same. We also upgraded to the largest portion of french fries for no extra cost.

Our burger was neatly served in a paper pocket and it was clear that it had been prepared and assembled with care, with a well-balanced ratio between the ingredients. The patties had a lovely, deep crust that was well seasoned, while retaining the beef’s juiciness. The bun was soft and nicely toasted on the inside, but had a slightly doughy texture. The rest of the ingredients were really nice, and we were happy that they have upgraded their pickles since our latest visit, as they were a step up in both taste and texture. But we still would have liked a little more acidity and less sweetness in the pickles to cut through the beef and the melted cheese. The french fries came in a generous portion and were both crispy and well-salted with a nice potato flavour.

Andy’s Burgers’ quality is constantly improving, and there are fewer details to work on with each visit. We feel that Andy’s have a real tailwind right now, and we are following their journey with great interest, especially now that they are about to enter Malmö’s strong burger scene.

04 november 2023, Andy’s Burgers

I’m Eslövin’ it.

Andy’s Burgers opened in Eslöv in the fall of 2022 and is one of the burger places we have received the most tips about recently. We visited them for the first time in early 2023, and on our last visit much was the same. We liked the decor, which was Nordic and modern without being cold. The menu consisted mainly of a handful of well-composed burgers, all of which could be ordered with vegan protein. A menu with burgers, fries, soda and a dipping sauce cost only 130 SEK (12 USD) – and only 115 SEK (10.5 USD) for a lunch deal. A really fun thing that Andy’s is probably the only one in Sweden is that the customer can choose between one or two 100-gram meat pucks for the same price.

We recently ordered two burgers; an Original Cheeseburger and an Andy’s Original. In addition to two smashed 100-gram pucks, the cheeseburger also contained cheese, silver onion, pickles, mustard and ketchup, and the Andy’s Original was a real classic with lettuce, tomato and dressing. They looked really inviting and well-composed, and it only took a couple of bites to see how well everything worked together, thanks in large part to the fact that the meat managed to be both juicy and have a nice sear. However, the seasoning was uneven, and we got different amounts of salt and pepper on our burgers. But it was still good, and worked well with the hot and fluffy brioche potato bun. The creamy cheddar cheese contrasted well with the white onions, but we didn’t like that they used regular cucumbers for their pickles, as they became warm and mushy. The generous portion of crispy fries and their homemade chilli aioli were also of very high quality.

Andy’s Burgers serves a really sharp burger, and we definitely recommend a visit – not least because of their generous pricing. We look forward to following their development in the future, and they are a great example of how a newcomer can come in and make a big impact from the get-go.

Andy’s Burgers opened in Eslöv during the fall of 2022, and is one of the places we’ve received the most tips about lately. When we arrived we immediately took a liking to their interiors, with a modern Scandinavian design that felt warm and inviting. Their menu mainly consisted of seven well-balanced burgers that could be ordered with beef or vegan protein. A meal with a burger, french fries, a soft drink and a dip cost just 130 SEK (12 USD), and during their lunch service it only cost 115 SEK (11 USD). Interestingly enough, we got to choose between having one or two 100-gram beef patties in our burger, and the price was the same whatever we chose.

Even though their Burnt Butter & Chili Burger looked intriguing, we ordered a basic Original Cheeseburger to check out their overall quality. In addition to the double patties it included cheese, white onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard. Andy himself served us our burger, and it looked inviting and well-composed. A few bites were enough to see how well everything worked together, mainly thanks to the meat being juicy whilst still having a decent crust. It was too carefully seasoned though, and we would have liked a bit more salt and pepper as the flavours didn’t really pop. But the beefiness was there, and worked nicely with the warm and fluffy brioche potato bun. We also liked how the creamy cheddar worked in tandem with their white onions and their house pickles. The large portion of crispy french fries and their chili aioli was great too.

Andy’s Burgers serve a really tasty and decently priced hamburger, and we definitely recommend a visit. We look forward to following their journey and visiting them again, because with a bit of fine-tuning they have the potential to become a real top-tier burger joint in Sweden.

Burger Devil is located in Bäckby on the outskirts of Västerås, and when we first visited them in 2023 after several recommendations, we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality. During our return visit, we noticed that the restaurant had a thoughtfully designed interior, with almost every little detail featuring their branding. This time, we ordered a Cheese with two 120-gram beef patties, cheddar, red onions, pickles, yellow mustard, ketchup and mayo, as well as a Habanero Cheese with the same amount of beef, cheddar, habanero cheese, white onions, fresh chilli and béarnaise sauce. Both double burgers cost 189 SEK (19 USD) each as meals, including fries and a soft drink.

The burgers were nicely presented in paper sleeves and well assembled, with a good patty to bun ratio – even though our Habanero Cheese was a bit overloaded with toppings. The buns held everything together well, with a soft exterior and a nicely toasted interior. The beef was heavily smashed with a nice crust and generous seasoning that gave it a rich and robust flavour. However, we would have liked more heat from the Habanero Cheese, especially considering its name. And while we appreciated the idea of adding béarnaise sauce, the flavours became somewhat monotonous towards the end, and we would have liked something fresh to break things up. The fried habanero and cheese balls added a really nice contrast in texture, though, and overall it was a very enjoyable burger. The cheeseburger was also good at its core, but the flavours were slightly too sweet. We would have really appreciated some tangy dill pickles here to create a better balance. The fries were well-fried and nicely salted, but the dips we ordered could have had a bit more flavour.

Burger Devil has a well-developed concept, and they continue to serve filling and well-made burgers at very reasonable prices. Despite a few minor flaws, that still goes a long way.

🍔 Burgerdudes Summer BBQ Burger
4 portioner / 30 min

Du behöver:
800 g grovmald högrevsfärs, 20–30 % fetthalt
4 hamburgerbröd, gärna briochebröd
8 skivor hamburgerost
Sweet Baby Ray’s Original Barbecue Sauce
4 salladsblad
4 tomatskivor
1 rödlök
1 dl ättiksprit, 12 %
2 dl strösocker
3 dl vatten Smör
Salt och grovmald svartpeppar

Gör så här:

We first visited N.O.A.H’s Burgare in Södertälje in 2024, and they’ve been high on our ranking of Sweden’s Best Burgers ever since. Their small white food truck has now been replaced by a much larger container, and the menu featured around ten burgers. We ordered our favourite, the Double Bacon Burger, with two 110-gram beef patties, cheddar, bacon, tomato, burger sauce and BBQ sauce for 138 SEK (14 USD). We also tried their SSK Meal, featuring a Bacon Jam Burger with a 135-gram beef patty, cheddar, bacon jam, pickles and Mac sauce. It cost 185 SEK (19 USD), including fries, a dip and a drink.

The burgers arrived quickly and looked just as inviting as we remembered. The Bacon Burger delivered crispy bacon and deep umami flavours, while the diced tomato worked surprisingly well with the other ingredients, adding both juiciness and a distinct texture. The Bacon Jam Burger had a pronounced sweetness and smokiness that we really enjoyed. The thicker beef patty had a crispy crust and a very juicy centre, and together with the generous amount of bacon jam, the proportions between the beef, toppings and bun were really good. However, the Mac sauce faded into the background and didn’t quite get a chance to shine. Both burgers were generously seasoned with salt and coarsely ground black pepper, and we particularly appreciated how they had adjusted the thickness of the patties to suit the toppings. The flavourful bacon jam worked perfectly with a thicker patty, while the classic Bacon Burger had better proportions with two thinner patties, each with an amazing crust. The fries were well-cooked and almost impossible to stop eating, and the included Mac dip paired really well with them.

N.O.A.H’s Burgare just keeps getting better with every visit, and they continue to impress from their small car park on the outskirts of Södertälje. If you love burgers, they’re definitely worth a detour.

🇺🇸 @familyfriend20671 ★★★★☆

Familyfriend is located in a residential neighbourhood in South Seattle and serves American comfort food and Guamanian fusion cuisine. They’ve been named the home of both Seattle’s best smashburger and corn soup, and the restaurant itself has a cosy interior with a large and airy courtyard. The menu consisted of small plates, medium plates and mains, and we ordered the only burger on the menu. The Da Kids Kewpie Burger came with beef, cheese, onions, pickles and miso and cost 20 USD, including a portion of Truffle Shoestring Fries. We also added an extra beef patty for another 5 USD.

The burger was served on a small plate and looked really cute. The beef was juicy with a crispy crust, but we would’ve appreciated more salt to make the flavours pop. The bun was nice and surprisingly airy, but should’ve been toasted harder on the inside. Ratio-wise, it worked really well with double beef, and we think a single would’ve been too bun-heavy. The diced onions were exceptionally crisp and flavourful without taking over, but they’d also diced the pickles, which made them feel more like relish. So even though the flavour was there, we missed their natural crunch, and the burger felt a little too soft overall. The flavours were simple but tasty, and we liked that they dared to keep the burger this simple. Their truffle fries were thinly cut and fried until crisp. Luckily, they’d only been lightly tossed in a fresh truffle oil, which added umami without taking over. We genuinely couldn’t stop eating them.

Familyfriend is a cosy little neighbourhood restaurant that’s well worth a visit. Come for the burger, but make sure to order several of the medium plates to share as well. We tried everything from tacos and empanadas to the burger and their corn soup – and the latter really did live up to its award.
