In English

Tasty Bros took Örebro by storm in 2024 when they arrived with their food truck from Spain. During our last visit, we thought they served the best burger in Örebro, and since then they’ve moved into Burger Love’s former premises by Stortorget. There, they’ve expanded their menu with more burgers, sides, and milkshakes, along with a large outdoor seating area on the square. This time, we ordered a Double Cheese with two beef patties, double cheddar, yellow onion, dill pickles, ketchup and mayo for 154 SEK (16.5 USD). We upgraded to their menu with french fries and a soft drink, which turned out to cost an extra 60 SEK (6 USD) and unfortunately didn’t include a menu discount.

Our burger looked just as good as it did last time, with the same unpretentious food truck aesthetic during assembly and presentation. The double 125-gram patties from Närke Kött had been smashed thoroughly and had plenty of crust – even though it was deliciously crispy in some places and a little hard and crunchy in others. The patties had been covered with a generous amount of black pepper, which provided just the right seasoning. The brioche bun was soft and well toasted on the inside, holding together well throughout the meal. We liked their herby dill pickles, but they were thin and could have been a little crispier. The onion added a little fresh crunch, and the amount of mayo and ketchup was excellent. We would have preferred a little less mustard, but otherwise this was an exceptionally good cheeseburger. The french fries were perfectly fine, but we would recommend the excellent sweet potato fries for an additional 15 SEK (1.5 USD). We also ordered a Biscoff milkshake for 69 SEK (7 USD), but it was quite runny and not worth the money.

Tasty Bros have made the transition from food truck to restaurant excellently, but it’s clear that their main focus it their burgers and that everything still needs to catch up. But yes, this is still the best burger we’ve eaten in Örebro.

The brothers behind the Tasty Bros food truck started their journey in the Spanish city of Torrevieja in 2023, before moving to Örebro. Their menu is short and sweet with only four burgers, which felt very focused. We ordered a double Chipeño with pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapeños, white onions, fried onions and sriracha mayonnaise for 139 SEK (13.5 USD) and a double Signatur with cheddar, bacon jam, white onions, fried onions and a black truffle mayo for 149 SEK (14.5 USD). We also ordered fries for 30 SEK (3 USD).

The burgers came in paper boxes, and when we took the burgers out we were immediately struck by how appealing and massive they looked. The ingredients almost poured out of the burgers, while still staying in place with excellent proportions. The double 115-gram beef patties had an excellent golden-brown crust that was wonderfully crispy. However, despite the good flavour and substantial seasoning, we had expected the meat to be slightly juicier. The bun was wonderfully fluffy and the toasting held everything together nicely without getting soggy. All the flavours were robust, especially on our Signatur burger which was a real taste explosion. The black truffle mayo along with the bacon jam created a really deep flavour combination that we really enjoyed, but after a few bites we found ourselves missing something that cut through all the heavy flavours to really lift the flavour picture. Our Chipeño burger was also really nice, but the heat was uniform and we would have liked to see a more varied spiciness. The fries were very good with a nice crispness and saltiness.

Tasty Bros serve burgers completely on their own terms, and it’s clear that they have a passion for cooking solid and unique street food burgers. This is undoubtedly the most exciting burger joint in Örebro right now.

Burger Devil is located in Bäckby on the outskirts of Västerås, and when we first visited them in 2023 after several recommendations, we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality. During our return visit, we noticed that the restaurant had a thoughtfully designed interior, with almost every little detail featuring their branding. This time, we ordered a Cheese with two 120-gram beef patties, cheddar, red onions, pickles, yellow mustard, ketchup and mayo, as well as a Habanero Cheese with the same amount of beef, cheddar, habanero cheese, white onions, fresh chilli and béarnaise sauce. Both double burgers cost 189 SEK (19 USD) each as meals, including fries and a soft drink.

The burgers were nicely presented in paper sleeves and well assembled, with a good patty to bun ratio – even though our Habanero Cheese was a bit overloaded with toppings. The buns held everything together well, with a soft exterior and a nicely toasted interior. The beef was heavily smashed with a nice crust and generous seasoning that gave it a rich and robust flavour. However, we would have liked more heat from the Habanero Cheese, especially considering its name. And while we appreciated the idea of adding béarnaise sauce, the flavours became somewhat monotonous towards the end, and we would have liked something fresh to break things up. The fried habanero and cheese balls added a really nice contrast in texture, though, and overall it was a very enjoyable burger. The cheeseburger was also good at its core, but the flavours were slightly too sweet. We would have really appreciated some tangy dill pickles here to create a better balance. The fries were well-fried and nicely salted, but the dips we ordered could have had a bit more flavour.

Burger Devil has a well-developed concept, and they continue to serve filling and well-made burgers at very reasonable prices. Despite a few minor flaws, that still goes a long way.

🍔 Burgerdudes Summer BBQ Burger
4 portioner / 30 min

Du behöver:
800 g grovmald högrevsfärs, 20–30 % fetthalt
4 hamburgerbröd, gärna briochebröd
8 skivor hamburgerost
Sweet Baby Ray’s Original Barbecue Sauce
4 salladsblad
4 tomatskivor
1 rödlök
1 dl ättiksprit, 12 %
2 dl strösocker
3 dl vatten Smör
Salt och grovmald svartpeppar

Gör så här:

We first visited N.O.A.H’s Burgare in Södertälje in 2024, and they’ve been high on our ranking of Sweden’s Best Burgers ever since. Their small white food truck has now been replaced by a much larger container, and the menu featured around ten burgers. We ordered our favourite, the Double Bacon Burger, with two 110-gram beef patties, cheddar, bacon, tomato, burger sauce and BBQ sauce for 138 SEK (14 USD). We also tried their SSK Meal, featuring a Bacon Jam Burger with a 135-gram beef patty, cheddar, bacon jam, pickles and Mac sauce. It cost 185 SEK (19 USD), including fries, a dip and a drink.

The burgers arrived quickly and looked just as inviting as we remembered. The Bacon Burger delivered crispy bacon and deep umami flavours, while the diced tomato worked surprisingly well with the other ingredients, adding both juiciness and a distinct texture. The Bacon Jam Burger had a pronounced sweetness and smokiness that we really enjoyed. The thicker beef patty had a crispy crust and a very juicy centre, and together with the generous amount of bacon jam, the proportions between the beef, toppings and bun were really good. However, the Mac sauce faded into the background and didn’t quite get a chance to shine. Both burgers were generously seasoned with salt and coarsely ground black pepper, and we particularly appreciated how they had adjusted the thickness of the patties to suit the toppings. The flavourful bacon jam worked perfectly with a thicker patty, while the classic Bacon Burger had better proportions with two thinner patties, each with an amazing crust. The fries were well-cooked and almost impossible to stop eating, and the included Mac dip paired really well with them.

N.O.A.H’s Burgare just keeps getting better with every visit, and they continue to impress from their small car park on the outskirts of Södertälje. If you love burgers, they’re definitely worth a detour.

🇺🇸 @familyfriend20671 ★★★★☆

Familyfriend is located in a residential neighbourhood in South Seattle and serves American comfort food and Guamanian fusion cuisine. They’ve been named the home of both Seattle’s best smashburger and corn soup, and the restaurant itself has a cosy interior with a large and airy courtyard. The menu consisted of small plates, medium plates and mains, and we ordered the only burger on the menu. The Da Kids Kewpie Burger came with beef, cheese, onions, pickles and miso and cost 20 USD, including a portion of Truffle Shoestring Fries. We also added an extra beef patty for another 5 USD.

The burger was served on a small plate and looked really cute. The beef was juicy with a crispy crust, but we would’ve appreciated more salt to make the flavours pop. The bun was nice and surprisingly airy, but should’ve been toasted harder on the inside. Ratio-wise, it worked really well with double beef, and we think a single would’ve been too bun-heavy. The diced onions were exceptionally crisp and flavourful without taking over, but they’d also diced the pickles, which made them feel more like relish. So even though the flavour was there, we missed their natural crunch, and the burger felt a little too soft overall. The flavours were simple but tasty, and we liked that they dared to keep the burger this simple. Their truffle fries were thinly cut and fried until crisp. Luckily, they’d only been lightly tossed in a fresh truffle oil, which added umami without taking over. We genuinely couldn’t stop eating them.

Familyfriend is a cosy little neighbourhood restaurant that’s well worth a visit. Come for the burger, but make sure to order several of the medium plates to share as well. We tried everything from tacos and empanadas to the burger and their corn soup – and the latter really did live up to its award.
