Burgerdudes fyller 9 år

Idag fyller Burgerdudes nio år, vilket känns helt otroligt. Vi har hittills hunnit recensera 727 restauranger från 60 länder (siffror från 8 november 2023), och de senaste åren har varit mer intensiva än någonsin, med fler resor, YouTube-videos, samarbeten och burgarfestivaler. Vi har vi sett hantverksburgare gå från att vara något exotiskt till att bli en folklig maträtt, och numera är det en självklarhet att hitta en grym hamburgare överallt i hela Sverige.

Och trots att vi befinner oss i en lågkonjunktur så förblir burgare en spännande, prisvärd och framförallt god maträtt. Vi kommer säkert att få se flera restauranger stänga, men det dyker hela tiden upp nya och vi är inte oroliga för burgarens framtid i och utanför Sverige.

Dagen till ära presenterar vi en helt ny topplista med Världens 25 bästa burgare, eller ”The World’s 25 Best Burgers” om vi ska vara internationella. Det här är en global lista med de absolut bästa hamburgarna vi har testat genom åren. Alla dessa är fullpoängare, och i listan hittar du allt från svenska foodtrucks till lyxiga gourmetrestauranger i Amerika. Du hittar den på theworldsbestburgers.com.

Observera att den nya topplista uppdateras löpande, och inte ska förväxlas med vår årliga topplista med de bästa burgarna i vårt avlånga land. Sveriges 100 Bästa Burgare 2024 lanseras i början av nästa år, och arbetet med den pågår för fullt. Vi ser verkligen fram emot att presentera den, men under tiden hoppas vi att du kollar in dagens nyhet och får inspiration till kommande resor, både i och utanför Sverige.

Nu ska vi fira vår födelsedag med en burgare. Hoppas att du också gör det!

Today, Burgerdudes celebrates its ninth birthday, which feels incredible. We’ve reviewed 727 restaurants from 60 countries (numbers from 8 November 2023) so far, and the last few years have been busier than ever, with more travels, YouTube videos, collaborations and burger festivals than ever. We’ve seen craft burgers go from something exotic to a popular dish, and now it’s commonplace to find a great burger anywhere in Sweden.

And even though we are in a recession, burgers remain an exciting, affordable and, above all, delicious food. We will certainly see several restaurants close, but new ones are popping up all the time and we are not worried about the future of the burger in Sweden and beyond.
The rumors of the death of the burger are greatly exaggerated!

In honor of our anniversary, we are launching a brand new top list of the World’s 25 Best Burgers. This is a global list of the absolute best burgers we’ve tested over the years. All of these are full points, and the list includes everything from Swedish food trucks to luxurious gourmet restaurants in America. You can find it at theworldsbestburgers.com.

Please note that the new top list is updated regularly, and should not be mistaken for our annual top list of the best burgers in our country. ”Sweden’s 100 Best Burgers 2024” is launching early next year, and we are working hard on it. We are really looking forward to unveiling those results, but in the meantime, we hope you check out today’s news and get inspiration for upcoming trips, both in and outside Sweden.

Now we’re going to celebrate our birthday with a burger. Hope you do too!

Black Bear Burger is one of the veterans of the modern burger wave in England, and we have tried their burgers several times since our first review in 2017. Over the years, Black Bear Burger has received more and more attention and hype, both domestically and internationally, and today they are one of the most well-known burger restaurants in all of England. They have locations at nearly 10 places around London, and we visited their restaurant inside the Market Halls Victoria food hall and ordered their Double Miso Bacon Burger – the same burger that won them the National Burger of the Year 2025 award. The burger contained double patties, double cheese, smoked bacon and their miso butter mayo, and it cost 15.8 GBP (21 USD).

The burger looked exactly as we remembered it, with pre-formed patties and a pale bun covered in a generous layer of sesame seeds. The bun was soft and fluffy, but just like on our previous visits, we felt that the crust-like amount of sesame seeds took over both in terms of flavour and texture. The meat was of high quality as always and had a nice and potent dry-aged character that they are known for. The meat could have been juicier though, as it felt a bit too compact this time. The bacon was super tasty and crispy, just the way we like it, and the onion also contributed a nice texture. Their miso butter mayo was very flavourful with its buttery, salty, and umami-rich taste, but together with the bacon and the beef, the overall flavour profile was a bit too salty. We would have liked to see some kind of freshness to break up the saltiness for a more complete experience.

We are very happy that a veteran like Black Bear Burger continues to deliver high-quality burgers year after year, and they are still a safe bet when you are craving a really good burger in London.

During this amazing event, we reviewed all 16 competing beef burgers. After a full day of judging, one burger stood above the rest and was awarded the coveted ”Burgerdudes Best Burger belt”.
