Burgerdudes testar Xbox One-burgaren i Hong Kong

Under mars 2015 designade Hong Kong-filialen av burgarkedjan Triple O’s om sina restauranger i Xbox One-tema. Eftersom vi i Burgerdudes var ute på vår recensionsresa till Hong Kong och Japan under den tiden var vi bara tvungna att besöka dem.

Den utsmyckade Triple O’s-restaurangen vid färjeterminalen i Wan Chai var fylld med Xbox One-reklam. Golvet, väggarna, kassan och till och med borden hade täckts med Microsofts logotyp, och överallt hängde reklam för deras aktuella och kommande spel.

Vi beställde deras cheeseburgare, som serverades i ett Xbox One-omslagspapper på en Xbox One-bricka av personalen som hade på sig såväl Xbox One-tröja och en Xbox One-keps. Det var med andra ord väldigt mycket Xbox One för pengarna.

Dessvärre är Triple O’s en helt vanlig snabbmatskedja, med ursprung i Kanada. Och trots den roliga gimmicken att placera saltgurkan i omslagspapprets ovandel smakade den inget vidare. Den var sladdrig och rätt smaklös, och smakade mest som en snabbmatsburgare gör.

Så här såg burgaren ut ett par tuggor in.
Eftersom kampanjen bara pågick under mars 2015 går det inte längre att beställa en Xbox One-burgare hos Triple O’s i Hong Kong, och vi ångrar såklart inte besöket. Burgerdudes gillar alltid att testa något nytt, oavsett resultatet. Nästa gång hoppas vi bara på att burgaren lever upp till hajpen.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 @black_bear_burger ★★★★☆

Black Bear Burger is one of the veterans of the modern burger wave in England, and we have tried their burgers several times since our first review in 2017. Over the years, Black Bear Burger has received more and more attention and hype, both domestically and internationally, and today they are one of the most well-known burger restaurants in all of England. They have locations at nearly 10 places around London, and we visited their restaurant inside the Market Halls Victoria food hall and ordered their Double Miso Bacon Burger – the same burger that won them the National Burger of the Year 2025 award. The burger contained double patties, double cheese, smoked bacon and their miso butter mayo, and it cost 15.8 GBP (21 USD).

The burger looked exactly as we remembered it, with pre-formed patties and a pale bun covered in a generous layer of sesame seeds. The bun was soft and fluffy, but just like on our previous visits, we felt that the crust-like amount of sesame seeds took over both in terms of flavour and texture. The meat was of high quality as always and had a nice and potent dry-aged character that they are known for. The meat could have been juicier though, as it felt a bit too compact this time. The bacon was super tasty and crispy, just the way we like it, and the onion also contributed a nice texture. Their miso butter mayo was very flavourful with its buttery, salty, and umami-rich taste, but together with the bacon and the beef, the overall flavour profile was a bit too salty. We would have liked to see some kind of freshness to break up the saltiness for a more complete experience.

We are very happy that a veteran like Black Bear Burger continues to deliver high-quality burgers year after year, and they are still a safe bet when you are craving a really good burger in London.
